1.Delete your Finmind account in Settings
- Sign in and open Settings, then Privacy and data.
- Press "Delete my Finmind account" and confirm it is you: your password, or a two-factor code if two-factor authentication is on, or a fresh Google, Telegram or OneID sign-in if your Finmind account has neither.
- The deletion is scheduled for 14 days later. Until then you can sign in and press "Cancel deletion" in the same place, and nothing more happens.
- When the 14 days end, the deletion is not run automatically: a Finmind administrator reviews what will be deleted and what will be kept, and the deletion runs once they approve it. We aim to review within 3 days. Settings shows that your request is awaiting approval, and you can still cancel until the deletion has run. You do not need to do anything else.
- If the administrator does not approve the deletion, for example because a payment, an order or a dispute must be settled first, we tell you the reason in the app and by email, your Finmind account stays open, and you can ask again.
The same steps work in the Telegram Mini App and in the mobile app, which open the Settings page of your Finmind account.
2.What happens the moment you ask
Some things do not wait for the 14 days, because a decision to leave must not keep a way into your money open:
- the broker password and inquiry PIN of every connected brokerage account, and the API keys and tokens of every connected exchange or broker (Binance, Interactive Brokers), are erased and those connections are switched off; live trading is switched off;
- the personal payout calendar link (its secret token) is revoked;
- the Telegram chat connected to your Finmind account is disconnected, and two-factor codes by Telegram, if on, are switched off;
- every pending one-time code and sign-in challenge is deleted.
If you cancel the deletion afterwards, these are not restored: you connect your broker and your Telegram chat again yourself.
3.What is deleted
When the deletion runs, after a Finmind administrator has approved it, your Finmind account row is deleted and with it everything linked to it: your profile, email address, name, phone number and taxpayer number; your consents; your sign-in methods (Google, Telegram, OneID) and two-factor settings, authenticator devices and recovery codes; the MyID verification, including the encrypted PINFL; brokerage accounts and everything read from your broker (holdings, cash, orders, trades, statements); orders and stop-losses placed through Finmind; portfolios, transactions, accounting records, budgets, goals, alerts, watchlists, plans, cards, insurance, pension and other records you created; your assistant history; your notifications and preferences; your support threads; discounts, referral codes and Finmind account credit; certificates, lesson progress and quiz results.
Families and savings circles you own are deleted with you, including what their members entered into them. Families and circles you merely belong to lose your membership.
4.What is kept, and why
- Payment records. Each payment request (its reference, amount, method, period, status, any refund, and the email address recorded at the time of payment) and its events, provider confirmations and Telegram Stars charges stay, without a link to a Finmind account, because they are accounting documents we must keep for refunds, disputes and the accounting and tax law of the Republic of Uzbekistan. They are kept for as long as that law requires and are used for nothing else.
- Delivery logs of emails and SMS. One row per message we sent, with a masked address or number (never the text), with the link to your Finmind account cleared.
- Sign-in and security event counts. Rows that record that a sign-in or a security change happened, without any identifier, with the link to your Finmind account cleared.
- Staff audit trails. Records of what an operator did (for example approved a payment) keep the operator's identity, not yours.
- Web server access logs are deleted automatically after 30 days, whether or not your Finmind account still exists.
- The review record. The deletion's approval or rejection, with the date and the Finmind administrator who decided, identified by the same masked handle, never your address.
- The deletion record itself: the date you asked, the date it ran, and counts of what was deleted per table, identified by your Finmind account's internal identifier and a masked handle (the first and last letter of your email address), never the address.
5.If you cannot sign in
Write to [email protected] from the email address of your Finmind account, or send /support to the Finmind Telegram bot from the Telegram account connected to it, and say that you want your Finmind account deleted. We open the same 14-day deletion for you; the same things are erased at once, the same review by a Finmind administrator applies, and the same records are kept. Before we act we will ask you to confirm that the Finmind account is yours, so that nobody can have it deleted for you: when our email sending is on, with a one-time code sent to the email address of your Finmind account that you give back to us in the same conversation; otherwise by replying from that address or from the Telegram chat connected to it. The way you confirmed is recorded with the request.
If you no longer have access to that address or chat either, tell us what you can: the email address you registered with and the payment references you remember. We answer within 30 days, as the Law "On Personal Data" requires.
6.A copy of your data first
Before you delete, you can download a copy of your data: Settings, then Privacy and data, then "Download my data". The file is JSON with your profile and every record linked to your Finmind account. Secrets (password hashes, encrypted broker and card details, authenticator secrets, codes and tokens) are not part of it. You can ask support for the same copy if you cannot sign in, by the same route as above.
7.Children
Finmind is for adults. If we learn that a Finmind account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its data in the same way, without the 14-day period, as an urgent case that a Finmind administrator reviews and approves first. If you believe a child has created a Finmind account, write to us.
8.Contact
Questions about deletion or your data: Support in the app (Settings, then Support), /support in the Telegram bot, or [email protected]. The privacy policy explains everything else we do with your data.
